Wölffer Estate Vineyard
Pinot Gris
I would recommend many wines from this Long Island winery, but my favorite for this hot weather is their Pinot Gris ($25). But you’ll have to wait till next year, since the 2007 vintage sold out instantly; I picked up one of the last bottles while I was at the winery. The unbelievable thing is that I had it with my tomato sandwich for lunch today, and it was a seamless pairing. I was all smiles.
